Vision

We live Romans 8:18 each day as we witness the Kingdom of God advancing in the restoration of human lives.

We see communities transformed, families reconciled and lives healed emotionally, physically and spiritually.

MISSION

We are dedicated to alleviatingĀ  generational poverty through holistic quality care for families, youth and childrenĀ  in the Philippines.

2011
Move to Cebu
Ronald and Caidy Quilaton move to Cebu. Ronald begins teaching theology at Cebu Bible College and Caidy volunteers with a small non-profit ministering to families living on the streets.
2012
Begin Ministry
Ronald and Caidy begin to minister to vulnerable children they meet in their community. They begin with street feeding, providing clothes and teaching Bible stories.
2013
Jesan Center Drop-In Program
After the tragic death of Jesan, one of the children they had come to know and love, they begin the first community project of 8:18 Missions by opening a drop in center in his memory where children receive temporary respite from harsh realities of daily street life.
2015
Officially Licensed
8:18 Missions is officially licenced with Social Services to operate a community center serving street children, youth in conflict with the law and marginalized families.
2016 - 2019
Rapid Growth
8:18 Missions experience a period of rapid growth, expanding to a staff of 10 and serving an average of 40 children and youth per week. Other Milestones Include: </br
  • Discipleship Youth Program - focusing on the needs of youth in conflict with the law. Mentoring is set in place and proved as a very successful tool for transformation.
  • 8:18 Missions church is established - meeting weekly for a time of worship, prayer and communion.
  • School Sponsorship kicked off its first school year in 2018-2019 with 10 scholars. It has since increased to 32 scholars.
2020
Impact of Covid-19

Impact of Covid-19 and government restrictions force community programs to pause. 8:18 Missions returns to its root where they continue to minister to vulnerable children and families on the streets, sidewalks and squatter homes of Cebu City.

2021
typhoon hits Cebu

A devastating super typhoon hit Cebu and surrounding areas. 8:18 Missions takes action and begins relief efforts in partnership with local churches. A total of 63 households received aid from the churches and 8:18. into this task
