Care Group is back! Our youth group gathers two evenings a month to share a meal and quality time together. This creates a safe space for youth to share their struggles and joys.

Every week our team visits the homes of families w

Every week our team visits the homes of families who live to far to get to our community center. This time has proved invaluable with those families as they produce quality conversation centered around life, scripture and hope for the future.

This time has also showed us the great need to open more community centers in vulnerable, at-risk communities around other parts of our island.

The 23-24 school year may be coming to a close but our Sponsorship program is still running strong through the summer. Did you know that all of our scholars have access to the 8:18 community center six days a week! This means that through the summer they have a safe place to spend their time - continuing to learn and thrive.

Our social worker has been leading a reading and literacy workshop with several moms at our community center. Poverty alleviation is nearly 99% about giving people the tools they need to succeed and overcome challenges.

At 8:18 we gather with friends for a fun outdoor lunch everyday - nothing beats sharing stories and laughs over a delicious meal! So far this year, our small community center has provided 1,250 meals for families, children and youth who are struggling in the depths of poverty.
